
George H. Solveson

George received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1964. After two years serving as a lieutenant in the United States Army Signal Corps, George returned to Madison and received a Doctorate of Law degree in 1969. Since graduation, George has practiced with the law firm of Andrus, Sceales, Starke & Sawall, LLP in Milwaukee, and has had the honor and pleasure of serving numerous clients concerning the entire spectrum of intellectual property law. George has litigated numerous cases in Federal Courts across the country, and also has extensive background in the application and prosecution of patents before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
George is admitted to practice before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, numerous federal district and appellate courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Milwaukee, Seventh Federal Circuit (Chairman, Wisconsin Portraits Committee, 1998-Present) and American Bar Associations (Member: Patent and Antitrust Sections), the State Bar of Wisconsin (Council, 1977-1979 and Chairman, 1978-1979, Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section; Member: Group and Prepaid Legal Services Committee, 1977-1979), the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Chicago Patent Law Association, and the Wisconsin (Director, 1986-1988) and American Intellectual Property Law Associations
