Jill Fahrlander, Ph.D., is a non-equity partner and registered patent attorney at Andrus, Sceales, Starke & Sawall.
Jill has over 13 years experience as a patent attorney. Her practice focuses on U.S. and international patent procurement. Jill also counsels clients regarding procedures and agreements for protecting intellectual property, patent portfolio management, and analyses related to freedom to operate, non-infringement, invalidity, patentability, and due diligence.
Jill represents universities and companies in a variety of technologies, including engineered proteins, genetically modified organisms, research tools, diagnostics, vaccines, methods of treatment, bioremediation, biofuels, and bioprocess engineering.
Jill is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D. 1996), and North Dakota State University (Ph.D. Biochemistry, 1992; B.S. Medical Technology 1981).
